Shadows Journey – Day Three
He begins to feel energised by the warmth hitting him; steam is rising around him. He is perking up. His mother used to tell him he had “kitten eyes” when he was wide-eyed, but inside him, his long-passed relatives live in his heart. Instincts alive, he stands and shakes himself down. He looks at the seedling and, quietly in thought, says: “Thank you, little one. May your strength grow, too. I am off to find the plant of hope: the Tacca chantrieri—the Bat Flower.”

SHADOW’S JOURNEY
A crack of thunder ripples through the tunnel. Alone in the damp wetlands, a tired panther called Shadow lays his weary head. He realizes his depressed thoughts are not helping—he knows the strength is in him. His heart is still pumping. This is page one, chapter one: strength blooms, where peace is planted.
